Cut & Paste Club is for anyone who is interested in making and learning about collage, while meeting other fellow creatives. Collage describes both the technique and the resulting work of art in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric and other ephemera are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface. The Idea Studio has a good collection of used and recycled books, scrap book paper and magazines available to cut up and collage with. Please feel free to bring any extra materials or supplies that you may want to use for yourself or to share with others.
Each meeting will feature a new technique or project for patrons to learn, or else you can just come and create your own thing.
For our November meeting, patrons who register for this event will get one pre-cut tunnel book, that they can then fill and decorate using pictures and images that you can cut out from our wide selection of old books and magazines.
Registration is required for this event because we need to know how many books to prep.
Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for this event.
