Discover “The Art of Revival” from Wednesday, Dec. 4 through Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Langdon Divers Community Gallery in the Fond du Lac Public Library.
The show presents the artwork of Nathan Brandner. Brandner is a painter known for his bold yet sensitive brushwork. His work encompasses landscapes, portraits, and sacred art done in an expressive yet representational manner.
Visit with Bradner during an artist reception planned for Thursday, Dec. 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Langdon Divers Gallery.
Executing paintings and drawings from life is the cornerstone of his craft. Drawn to the beauty of the way light interacts with his subject, Brandner seeks to illuminate and share the mysteries in life that are often taken for granted.
Having a four-year degree in art, classical training at home and abroad, he has taken the time to carefully hone his craft. With continual workshops under modern day masters and studying those who have come before, it is his firm belief that painting and drawing is a learned skill. It is a practice that with extensive study anyone with enough curiosity can achieve.
The Langdon Divers Community Gallery is open seven days a week, whenever the Fond du Lac Public Library is open at 32 Sheboygan St. The gallery may be found off the atrium at the south entrance to the Main Library.
