This anthology is a collection of short articles about the environment that were written by Mack Moyle, a Wisconsin Native (born in 1912) and New Jersey transplant, and features short stories about nature, fishing, hunting, World War II, and gardening.
About the author:
An Oakfield resident, Denise Moyle Shaffer was raised by Wisconsin natives in the Pinelands of southern New Jersey. Her father, Mack Moyle, was was born in Yorkville, Wisconsin, in 1912 and was a writer, nurseryman, naturalist, hunter and fisherman and a veteran of World War II. His influence inspired her to develop her skills in writing, her love of nature and passion for nonprofit organizations where she worked for more than 40 years. Tales of the Piney Naturalist was compiled to honor her father and keep his stories about the environment available to the public.
