Join us for a creative evening in the Idea Studio and make your own mini masterpiece! We will be offering an evening event for patrons to come in and work on their 4"x4" canvas for the Tiny Art Contest. The library will provide canvases to those who sign up for the program, while supplies last. Pieces can be any medium or made with any supplies (not food or perishables), but the work must fit onto the small 4"x4" canvas. We will have a wide variety of art supplies set out for patrons to use to make their mini works of art.
The Age Categories for the contest are as followed; Littles 0-5, Kids 6-12, Teens 13-18, Adults 19+
The prizes per age category are awarded to "Best in Show" and "Library Staff Choice"
Artists of all ages are welcome to participate and everyone is invited to submit ONE piece of art and have it turned in by 7:59 pm on April 29. Pieces can be turned in at the Help Desk on the first floor of the library from April 22-29, 2024.
The Tiny Art Show will be exhibited in the Langdon Divers Community Gallery May 1 - June 4. (Art may be picked up after June 2 and must be picked up by June 4. Anything not picked up after June 15 will be recycled)
Space is strictly limited for this event, so please cancel in advance if you are unable to attend. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian anytime they are in the Idea Studio. Please Contact ideastaff@fdlpl.org if you have any questions about this event.
