Thomas is the author of the book, "Murder in Black & White."

About the book:

"She was poisoned." Such is the cryptic note the archbishop receives after the funeral of Mother Rose. The nuns believe she died of natural causes, and the archbishop send Father Andrew Nolan - Andy - to identify the killer and then participate in a cover-up to protect the Church from scandal. Andy succumbs to the assignment only because if he refuses to do the job, the archbishop will refuse his request for a dispensation from the priesthood to marry Mia (with whom he has been having an illicit affair).

How will Father Nolan find the killer when no one suspects foul play, when the poison used leaves no trace in the human system? How will he guide the nuns in their spirituality when he secretly disagrees with some of the key doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church?

About the author:

Marilyn Thomas joined the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes in 1958, graduated from both St. Mary's Springs Academy and Marian University in Fond du Lac. She was a professor at Marian University as well as the Housing Director and Dean of Students during the 1970s.

The setting of her novel is Fond du Lac and the motherhouse of the convent as well as its farm (now Springs playing fields).

She has completed two post-doctoral fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, one at Yale and the other at Cambridge University. She also has completed three post-doctoral fellowships at Oxford University.

Thomas is the author of five books, one of them the search for a 19th-century diary written in secret code by a once-famous Anglican cleric: "Sex, Death, and God in the Affairs of a Victorian Cleric. A memoir about my 25 years in the convent is titled: "I Sang in My Chains."

Quinn is the author of the book, "Premonition: The Gift."

About the book:

Plagued by a creepy, recurring dream that reveals a secret Gift, 12-year-old Sammy Greene sets off to save the little white dog from his dream and fulfill his destiny. But when the dog leads Sammy to an animal-testing operation deep in the woods, Sammy unwittingly discovers Max and Bets, two rookie criminals, and their internet scam to make millions.

Kidnapped and tied to a chair, surrounded by suffering animals, Sammy is armed with only his pet mouse Cal, a nearly dead cell phone, a hoodie, and his dead grandmother’s cryptic advice. Forced to face his greatest fear, the fear of failure, Sammy has to figure out a way to escape and save dozens of lives, including his own! Sammy's gift has morphed into a dangerous mission, and he knows he's been sent to shut Max and Bets down. Unfortunately, Max and Bets plan to shut Sammy down -- permanently.

About the author:

EC Quinn is a lifelong animal lover, avid reader, and children and adult author, with 25 stories published in Guide magazine and two stories in Chicken Soup for the Soul books.

After enjoying a career as both a physical therapist and a copywriter, EC Quinn pivoted to full-time writing. Premonition: The Gift, a middle-grade adventure story, is Quinn’s first novel and book one in the Premonition series. Stay tuned for her upcoming debut adult novel, a psychological thriller.

EC Quinn lives in a tiny Wisconsin town and, when not writing, enjoys reading, running, traveling to see her kids and extended family, and hanging out with her furry friends: one energetic rescue dog and three cats (two sweet as pie, one naughty as can be!) Quinn loves connecting with readers! Visit her at www.ecquinnauthor.com
